HEO provides non-Earth imagery and analytics that enables commercial companies, governments, and defence to identify and understand the state, operation and behaviour of space objects and the orbital environment.
HEO Inspect is a resilient space architecture that combines software and space-based hardware for highly automated satellite-to-satellite imaging for every mission. We adopt a sustainable approach to solving today’s problems in space. Rather than launching our own hardware, we foster collaboration opportunities with companies to access existing space-based sensors during their downtime.
High Earth Orbit Robotics has used an Earth Observation satellite to image another spacecraft. Their software, combined with the Korean Kompsat-3 satellite provided millisecond accuracy to take the image from a distance of over 300 km. Their software was critical to compensate for the 10 km/s relative closing velocity between the Kompsat-3 and the ISS.
Holmes Imager is a telescopic space camera we developed and is designed to be hosted as a secondary payload on a spacecraft. Once launched, Holmes relies on the host spacecraft for ground communication, power, attitude control, GPS time, and telemetry for operation.
Both Holmes and its host spacecraft are healthy and stable. Precision pointing in space is critical for non-Earth imaging. We are conducting the final fine attitude control checks before opening the aperture door for Holmes’ first pic, 2023-11-24.
